Meet MPPGA

The Maine Professional Pet Groomers Association is a nonprofit professional association created to connect and support pet groomers across Maine.

We bring together salon owners, employees, mobile groomers, apprentices, educators, and other grooming professionals through education, professional development, community, and shared standards.

Alaina LeBlanc

Founder & President

Alaina LeBlanc is the founder and president of MPPGA and the owner of Pawfections Pet Salon in Kennebunk. With more than 20 years of experience in professional pet grooming, she is a salon owner, educator, creative groomer, and advocate for Maine's grooming community.

Alaina founded MPPGA to give Maine groomers a statewide professional home, one built around education, collaboration, ethical practices, professional growth, and strengthening the future of the grooming industry.

Sean LeBlanc

Vice President

Sean LeBlanc serves as vice president of MPPGA, supporting the president and the association with strategic planning, operations, events, and organizational growth.

He helps turn ideas into practical action and supports the behind-the-scenes work required to build a strong, sustainable association for Maine's grooming professionals.

Caitlyn Lentz

Technology & Website Support

Caitlyn builds and maintains the MPPGA website and membership platform, from the public groomer directory and event registration to the member portal and the tools the board uses to review applications and reach members.

Her work gives the association an organized, accessible online home for Maine's grooming community.
